The Role You'll Play

As a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you’ll help oversee Mindbody’s daily accounts payable operations and ensure transactions are accurate, timely, and aligned with accounting policies. You’ll apply your accounting knowledge to strengthen processes, support internal teams, and build productive relationships with vendors.

  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor records, invoice verification, account coding, bill entry, payments, vendor communication, and year-end Forms 1099
  • Lead invoice reviews, validate disbursement requests, and ensure transactions meet approval requirements and accounting policies
  • Review purchase orders and help educate vendors and internal teams on purchasing policies and procure-to-pay processes
  • Maintain accurate vendor documentation, including required insurance records, and support strong vendor controlsReconcile monthly vendor statements, research outstanding items, and partner with purchasing and receiving teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to prepare accurate monthly expense accruals
  • Review and process employee expense reports and corporate card transactions, responding to questions and ensuring policy compliance
  • Analyze accounts payable processes and implement improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability

 The Experience You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of accounts payable processing experience or an equivalent accounting background
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting and foundational accounting principles
  • Experience auditing and reviewing employee expenses, approval requirements, and administrator responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of ERP and expense reporting applications, with NetSuite, Coupa, or Ramp experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze financial information accurately
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience identifying process improvements and helping implement practical solutions
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across departments and with external vendors, with multinational organization experience preferred
