The Role You’ll Play:Join our Payments Engineering team and help build the systems that keep money flowing securely, reliably, and at scale. As a backend engineer, you’ll strengthen critical infrastructure behind payment flows and reconciliation processes, shape integrations with third-party gateways, and help merchants get paid without friction. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast- moving environment that values clean code, thoughtful tradeoffs, and real- world impact.
Design, build, and maintain core backend systems in C#/.NET, supporting flows like auth, capture, refunds, and reconciliation. Improve system performance, reliability, and security through data- driven analysis and well-scoped backlog contributions. Strengthen integrations with payment gateways and third-party providers to reduce latency and improve uptime. Write clean, testable code backed by strong unit, integration, and contract tests; participate in peer reviews and documentation. Collaborate with Product to clarify requirements, size work, and evaluate tradeoffs and risk early. Maintain SDLC and release hygiene by supporting CI/CD pipelines, code quality, and operational readiness. Participate in on-call rotations to support production stability and responsive incident handling.____________________________________________________________________________________Experience You Bring: 3–5 years of professional experience building and operating backend services in production environments. Deep expertise in C#, ASP.NET/.NET Core, and API development using REST. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), including tools like EKS, EC2, ElastiCache, SNS, and SQS. Experience with both NoSQL and relational databases; able to write performant queries and model data effectively. Strong understanding of messaging architectures, delivery semantics, and patterns like idempotency. Solid grasp of testing strategies, including unit, integration, and contract testing. Comfort working in Agile environments and collaborating across teams to ship incrementally and reliably.
