The Role You'll Play

As an Accounting Manager, you will lead and directly manage a team of accountants key to our financial reporting and month-end close function. You will drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the team while partnering closely with FP&A, operations, and senior leadership to ensure our financial results are reliable, well-controlled, and delivered on time. People leadership is central to this role - you will be expected to coach, develop, and hold your team accountable to a high standard.

  • Lead and manage end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all close activities
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of accountants, providing clear direction, ongoing feedback, and opportunities for growth
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses across balance sheet and income statement areas
  • Own the preparation and review of financial reporting deliverables, including schedules used for internal reporting, external financial statements, and audit support
  • Identify, champion, and implement process improvements that enhance close efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and reduce manual effort
  • Leverage data tools, automation, and AI-enabled technologies to modernize reporting workflows, reduce manual effort, improve visibility into close status, and increase team capacity
  • Partner with FP&A and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze variances and ensure financial results are well understood and clearly communicated
  • Manage external audit relationships, coordinate audit requests, and ensure strong documentation across key accounting areas
  • Contribute to the development of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP and company standards
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed by senior leadership

The Experience You’ll Bring

We're looking for a technically strong accounting leader with a track record of managing teams, owning complex close processes, and driving meaningful improvements in how accounting gets done.

  • 7 to 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement fundamentals
  • Demonstrated experience owning and managing a full month-end close cycle, including reviewing and approving the work of others
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team - including internationally distributed team members - in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with foreign entity accounting and multi-entity consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and preparation or review of consolidated financial statements
  • Strong process improvement mindset with a track record of implementing practical solutions that improve efficiency or accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team through continuous improvement, from identifying opportunities and scoping projects to driving execution and measuring impact across the accounting function
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively during close cycles
  • Advanced Excel skills and deep experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
  • Hands-on experience with data and automation tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms used to improve accounting and reporting workflows
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools or automation technologies that improve accounting efficiency or reporting processes is a plus
  • Big 4 or large public accounting firm background preferred, with experience transitioning into or managing within an industry accounting function
  • Prior industry accounting experience (in addition to or following public accounting) is a strong plus - familiarity with the operational realities of a month-end close environment is highly valued, as is exposure to public company reporting requirements or IPO readiness efforts
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present financial results and issues clearly to senior stakeholders
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
