JOB FAMILY SUMMARY:The ClassPass International team is responsible for growing and strengthening our partner ecosystem across global markets. This includes acquiring high-quality new fitness, wellness, and experiential partners, as well as nurturing and expanding relationships with existing partners. Through a combination of market expertise, strong local relationships, and strategic sales and account management, the team ensures we deliver exceptional value to our members and long-term success for our partners.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Account Manager is responsible for optimising performance, driving upsells, and retaining ClassPass’s most valuable fitness and wellness partners within their region. Deeply embedded in the local fitness and wellness community, this person is often the first to know about new business openings and emerging trends, proactively pitching ClassPass where relevant. They maintain a strong field presence through studio visits, events, and networking, building lasting relationships with partners. This is a highly proactive role requiring consistent outbound engagement with your portfolio to unlock growth opportunities and deliver on our triple bottom line: doing right by our partners, our subscribers, and our company.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or post-sales roles; (experience in SaaS or marketplace is a plus).
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding performance targets (e.g., upsell, retention, or engagement metrics).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences.
- Effective time management and B2B negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of or connections within the local fitness, wellness, or related industry.
- Comfortable working independently with limited direction.
- Based in the assigned region Paris, with willingness to travel within the region.
- Fluency in English and French; additional languages a plus.
- Strong alignment with Playlist core values and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced remote-first, international environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish a professional relationship with top ClassPass partners to develop a core understanding of their unique business needs allowing you the ability to upsell and retain
- Conduct regular outbound outreach to the top accounts within your book of business to foster relationships, identify pain points and sell solutions
- Engage in outbound outreach to upsell remaining accounts within your book of business on optimizations and/or upsell products
- Leverage Field Sales tactics (e.g. travel, in-person drop-ins and meetings) along with the necessary level of inside sales touchpoints (e.g. social, phone, email) to drive engagement
- Strong focus on performance and ability to achieve monthly quota targets related to upsell.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- To build strong local relationships and stay closely connected to the market, this role requires the employee to reside within the designated region they are supporting.
- Regular travel will be required to attend in-person partner meetings, market events, and team activities that support regional success.
- It is anticipated that travel will be 30-50% of the time
- Exceptions to location may be made in-line with global hiring policies, if team members are located in one of our global hiring hubs outside the region. This will be upon the businesses discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
- This role regularly utilises a computer, including the use of a monitor, mouse and keyboard
SCOPE OF SUPERVISION/AUTHORITY:
Individual Contributor: Duties are performed with reasonable levels of supervision. Often responsible for planning and organizing their own work, which may or may not be directly related to general business operations of the company or its customers. Will receive training and guidance from manager as needed. Individual contributors may be required to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance depending on the nature of the position. No direct management responsibility.
