The Role You'll Play
The Accountant performs daily hands-on accounting work and supports a timely, accurate month-end close. You’ll bring strong fundamentals, a detail-oriented mindset, and a collaborative approach to help keep our accounting operations running smoothly in a fast-growing, high-tech environment.
- Support the month-end close by preparing journal entries and responding quickly to close-related requests
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigating differences and driving items to resolution
- Analyze financial results and explain variances, anomalies, or inconsistencies with clear, practical context
- Follow and support internal control procedures to help ensure consistency, accuracy, and audit readiness
- Help document and improve accounting policies and procedures, suggesting updates that automate the process or make the process clearer and more efficient
- Partner cross-functionally to gather information, answer questions, and keep stakeholders informed
- Participate in audit support by preparing schedules and coordinating with internal and external auditors
The Experience You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of accounting or finance experience in a hands-on, detail-oriented role
- Strong understanding of foundational accounting principles, including debits, credits, and accrual-basis accounting
- Proficiency in Excel, including key formulas and pivot tables
- Ability to identify, investigate, and clearly explain accounting variances or unusual trends
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with a proactive approach to sharing updates and asking questions early
- Strong time management and organization skills, including comfort shifting priorities during close
- Collaborative, improvement-minded approach, with openness to feedback and a positive, steady presence during high-volume periods
- Nice to have: experience supporting month-end close in a multi-entity environment and exposure to NetSuite, FloQast, Salesforce, or Aria
