The Role You'll Play:
- At Playlist, we're reimagining how technology can foster meaningful, real-world connections. As a Senior Software Engineer on the SmartDesk team, you'll be at the forefront of building an AI-powered front desk assistant that transforms how wellness businesses communicate and operate.
- Crafting end-to-end AI-powered experiences that seamlessly connect wellness businesses with their clients
- Designing and implementing robust web and messaging services that power conversational and workflow automation
- Integrating large language models (LLMs) and generative AI frameworks with a laser focus on safety, reliability, and user trust
- Collaborating closely with product, design, and applied AI teams to transform complex challenges into intuitive solutions
- Architecting scalable systems across frontend, backend, and integration layers
- Mentoring teammates through thoughtful code reviews and technical guidance
- Turning cutting-edge AI capabilities into practical, user-centric product features
- Driving technical excellence by making pragmatic engineering decisions that balance innovation, quality, and time to market
You'll drive innovation by:
- Crafting end-to-end AI-powered experiences that seamlessly connect wellness businesses with their clients
- Designing and implementing robust web and messaging services that power conversational and workflow automation
- Integrating large language models (LLMs) and generative AI frameworks with a laser focus on safety, reliability, and user trust

The Experience You’ll Bring:
- 2-3 years of Senior-level experience building full-stack features for SaaS products
- Proven track record of developing user-facing web applications and supporting APIs
- Expertise in designing and shipping AI-powered features in production environments
- Strong experience with distributed systems, third-party integrations, and messaging platforms
- Proficiency in making architectural decisions that balance technical debt, innovation, and business needs
- Deep understanding of engineering fundamentals, including testing, observability, and maintainability
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and rapidly learning emerging technologies

The goal of Playlist's compensation program is to be transparent, attract potential employees, meet the needs of all current employees, and encourage Team Members to stay with our organization. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.The base salary range for this position in the United States is $114,000 to $152,000 USD. The total compensation package for this position may also include a performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
