Overall:The Professional Services Engineer is a specialized role focused on tailoring the company’s product to meet the unique needs of its clients through technical solutions. This involves analyzing requirements, developing custom integrations, migrating data, and ensuring the product fits seamlessly into the client’s IT infrastructure.   Customer-Facing & Communication:
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing engineering or consulting roles (Professional Services, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or equivalent).
  • Fluent, professional English communication (spoken and written); able to lead discovery sessions, explain tradeoffs, and present solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to run technical discovery and translate ambiguous business requirements into clear technical designs and delivery plans.
Technical Depth:
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern web architectures (frontend + backend integration).
  • Experience integrating with external APIs (REST/JSON), including authentication, performance considerations, and error handling.
  • Solid understanding of system design, data flows, and non-functional requirements (security, performance, scalability).
  • Production experience with at least one major backend language/runtime (e.g., Node.js, Java, C#, Python, PHP).
Delivery Excellence:
  • Track record of end-to-end delivery: discovery → design → build → test → launch → handoff.
  • Comfortable operating in time-boxed, fixed-scope or SOW-driven engagements.
  • Strong quality bar: testing discipline, documentation, and production readiness.
Professional Services Mindset:
  • Experience working under contractual constraints (scope, assumptions, change control).
  • Ability to balance customer satisfaction with company risk management.
  Nice-to-have: What are the nice-to-have skills that you are willing to be flexible on? Domain & Platform Experience:
  • Experience in health, wellness, fitness, or healthcare-adjacent platforms.
  • Prior exposure to Mindbody, or similar vertical SaaS ecosystems.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, headless CMS) and content-heavy sites.
Architecture & Scale:
  • Experience designing multi-tenant or multi-region solutions.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization, SEO considerations, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Ways of Working:
  • Experience working in squad-based or pod-based delivery models.
  • Exposure to global customers across NA, EMEA, and APAC time zones.
  • Light experience with pre-sales support, estimates, or technical scoping.
Tooling:
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, monitoring, and production support practices.
