The Role You’ll Play 
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to iterate on backend architecture and deliver end-to-end solutions. 
  • Design and build reliable, scalable APIs and microservices that power core platform functionality. 
  • Apply engineering best practices—such as automated testing, code reviews, and proactive monitoring—to maintain high system reliability. 
  • Seek diverse feedback and use it to improve code quality and team collaboration. 
  • Participate in roadmap planning and design discussions, contributing thoughtful insights and technical expertise. 
  • Keep user experience top of mind, building systems that delight both studio partners and end users. 

 

Experience You Bring 
  • Significant experience building and scaling backend systems for large-scale SaaS products. 
  • Strong background in object-oriented programming languages such as C# or Java. 
  • Experience designing service-oriented and microservice-based architectures. 
  • Familiarity with modern monitoring and observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Kibana). 
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), design patterns, and Agile methodologies. 
  • Proven ability to assess feature impact, identify potential risks, and design for long-term maintainability. 
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and driven by a desire to build excellent systems. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in a professional setting.

  • Backend Languages: Kotlin, Python, C#, Ruby 
  • Frontend: React 
  • Databases: SQL and relational database systems 
  • Monitoring: New Relic, Kibana 
  • Workflow: Agile processes, cross-functional collaboration
