I'm a life-long resident of Michigan, having grown up in Escanaba--not in da moonlight--in the Upper Peninsula and settled in Jenison with my wife, Melanie. We married soon after graduating from Western Michigan University in 2000. I taught 5th graders at Dansville Elementary for two years before we relocated from Howell to the area in which she grew up in 2002. Appropriate for someone who's a kid at heart, I spend most of my days with 8- and 9-year olds as a 3rd grade teacher at Grandville East Elementary.

We have an eclectic music collection. It includes multiple albums by (alphabetically) Aerosmith, Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, Eric Clapton, Genesis/Phil Collins, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and movie soundtracks, along with a generous sprinkling of just about everything else except hip-hop.
Favorite Albums:
Tom Petty's "Wildflowers" and dropped-off-the-Earth Mark Curry's "It's Only Time" are both outstanding and are in regular circulation in the car and at home.
