Yeah i totally agree. For me personally im 18 going to be 19 on the 27th. now I graduated HS last yr. I was strong all through out HS w/ uk drugs n drinking i kept strong thn senior yr after the football season i dropped off and was really seperated from god. I was doing the wrong things, hooking up w/ random chicks, getting drunk, I ate hash brownies. I felt like shit bc i knew what i was doing was wrong. And i went to my younglife leader and told him everything. how I felt like a peice of shit basically. Now I grew up in the church so not a lot of things really sunk in deep bc ive heard them so many times that they lost some of there impact. But he told me, dude yeah your messin up there no doubt about it. But why are you upset? and i told him bc im doin stuff that i was soo against doing bc i was strong in my faith. And I know god doesnt like what im doing. He told me well thats your first problem man. Your worrying about the rights and wrongs in life. That not what following god is all about. If you focus on loving the lord and trusting him w/ all your heart. The other things will fall into place. You wont want to go party and do all that junk bc you love the lord soo much that that stuff isnt appealing to you any longer.
Thtas when i was truely changed bc i focues on loving god and trusting him bc thats the hardest battle. THe battle of live by faiith not by sight. then the whole as iron sharpens iron so should man sharpen another man. (I forget the exact wording, it used to be my favorite versus. its like proverbs 10 or 17 i think idk) but thats all i was trying to convie to you but i guess i didnt do it in the best way
