I'm Katie White and he's Jules de Martino, and together we are The Ting Tings. We got our name from a Chinese term meaning "band stand," but really I just like the sound Ting Ting. Say it aloud to yourself. We met while we were each doing our own music thing in London and Manchester. Now we've been making music together for years.

Last year we put out a limited edition vinyl single with our first two songs "That's Not My Name" and "Great DJ." "Great DJ" was eventually named Single of the Week in NME. Since then we have thankfully received much exposure. In March we performed at South By Southwest. In April, Apple used our new single "Shut Up and Let Me Go" in an iPod commercial. In June we released our debut album "We Started Nothing" and have been getting much love from critics and more importantly our fans. Again we want to thank all of our fans for support. We couldn't have gotten here without you guys.
