My friends say... I'm an active but easygoing guy with a great sense of humor. I really appreciate a thought provoking conversation, and love the social scene. Happy Hour with friends, appetizers and tasty beverages is my ideal way of winding down from the workday! I dig meeting new people, making new friends and acquaintances... there is nothing that broadens your horizons more than surrounding yourself with and having engaging discussions with a number of intelligent, interesting, good natured people! I've got a kickass job and I really enjoy doing what I do or else I wouldn't do it, but I also have lines drawn between my personal and professional life so I can have the time to enjoy my life and not fall into the trap of working a round the clock. I suffer from wanderlust... I've been to 39 of the 50 states in the US, Mexico and Canada and plan on traveling abroad in the future. Its in my blood now. I'm a big fan of the midwest and the people who reside here... I've lived in Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Kansas and for right now I call Missouri home and Kansas City is a groovy city with all it has to offer. I'm healthy, but I have no guilt about the less than perfect things I do to myself. I'll do things just for the experience of doing it, good, bad or ugly. I'm clumsy and have excellent reflexes at the same time. I'm learning to be less hard on things, my car, my clothes, my body... as far as I'm concerned, everything falls into the survival of the fittest category. I do my best to live life to the fullest in every aspect. No regrets ever. "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I — I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." Interests: Being a good person, friend, and son... Getting healthy and living a long and fruitful life... Finding happiness in all that I do and who I spend my time with... I'd like to travel more within the states via hiking, biking and camping versus planes, trains, automobiles and hotels... Travel abroad at least once a year... Kickball and dodgeball are my new favorite pasttimes... catching at least one game a year at wrigley field... I'm a novice wine connoisseur and I'm starting to enjoy drinking more reds... I'm a wannabe chef - i think i'm in love with Giada De Laurentiis on the food network... I want to continue to make friends from all walks of life because our interaction enriches my life as I hope it does theirs... FAVORITE QUOTES: "So I was sitting there eating a taco thinking of you..." - The Bruce™ "If you're going to do something tonight that you'll be sorry for tomorrow morning, sleep late." - Henny Youngman "The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench. A long plastic hallway where theives and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." - Hunter S. Thompson "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work... I want to achieve it through not dying." - Woody Allen "For every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first, and this second event will be pleasant or unpleasant according as its cause was skillful or unskillful." - The Law of Karma (Buddhist teachings) "Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't." - Erica Jong "America... just a nation of two hundred million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns and no qualms about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable." - Hunter S. Thompson "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -President Theodore Roosevelt "To see what is in front of one's nose is a constant struggle." - George Orwell "True love never dies... you have to keep shooting it!" - Anonymous "To be is to do." - René Descartes "To do is to be." - Jean-Paul Sartre "Doo bee doo bee doo." - Frank Sinatra "You need chaos in your soul to give birth to a dancing star." - Friedrich Nietzsche "Live with intention, walk to the edge, listen hard, laugh, practice wellness, play with abandon, continue to learn, appreciate your friends, choose with no regret, do what you love... live as if this is all there is." - Mary Anne Radmacher "Believe me! The secret of reaping the greatest fruitfulness and the greatest enjoyment from life is to live dangerously!" - Friedrich Nietzsche "To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children, to earn the approbation of honest critics; to appreciate beauty; to give of one's self, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - that is to have succeeded." - Ralph Waldo Emerson "Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity." - Albert Einstein "Is man one of God's blunders or is God one of man's blunders?" - Friedrich Nietzsche "Save the Trees?...Trees are the main cause of Forest Fires!" - Billy Connolly |
