Hey smiffy i checked out a couple Ride tunes and enjoyed them, made me think of Stone Roses and Guided by Voices a bit. I would like to check out one of their albums, what would you recommend to get me started?

Thanks for the tip smiffy i'll be checking that album out for sure. I noticed you have the Pains of Being Pure at Heart on your list as well, it's one of my favorite albums from this year, haven't really seen to many people with them on their lists and always wondered why, it's such a fun record.

Well, considering most of Fucked Up's shit (7"s) are out of print, you'd be best off buying the Hidden World or Chemistry of Common Life LP (Both of them are double LP, but I don't know if it's gatefold). Both have been gratuitously lauded as masterpieces, though I've heard more people prefer Hidden World. They're both pretty fucking mystic and shit, but the aesthetics of Hidden World far outshines that of Common Life.

Cheers, man.

hey man, cool info in ur replie. my taste in music is varied to some extent. i can be a music snob kinda, but my taste in music is always changing and connected to the music i use to listen to in someway or fashion; as example, i 1st listend to alt rock then to industrial -> techno -> etc :) i've continued over the years, though, to have a strong love for an electronic sound. friends and family play a big part in my music taste as well, so does mtv i guess too. i try to stay away frm commercial stuff, but sometimes theres some good pop in my opinion. pop can = fun :) so, whats the last show you went to?
