With their original style and captivating appearance these four teens defy the trends of the modern music business. , , Without being a band created by the music industry they have managed to storm the charts in 2005 with their hit "Durch den Monsun" and remained #1 for weeks. The remarkable thing is that the band members varied in age from 15 to 17 when the single came out. They've recently released their first album "Schrei - So laut du kannst" which has become very popular and have an ever growing and dedicated fanbase in various countries., , Tokio Hotel has a real authentic sound and they show that even though they are young they belong on stage. (They've closed the festivalyear 2005 by performing in front of 75.000 people!) Coming from the new generation they base their songs on their lives. Their lyrics are intelligent and in-depth and they don't resort to corny stuff to use as topics. By doing this they are creating a real identity that will keep them alive among all the shortlived bands. It is also the reason for part of their succes. Young people can really identify with their music and even though critics and sceptics continue to say their succes is just another hype chances are that Tokio Hotel is here to stay!
