Other incredible Audio Bee bands...
Reeve Oliver:
Reeve Oliver is a three-piece indie rock band from San Diego, CA, which blends the nervy energy of punk-pop with the lightly mopey affect of emo while embracing the big guitar attack of bands like Dinosaur Jr. and the Pixies.
Benny Strange:
It’s been an uphill battle for this truly independent recording artist. From singing for his supper and sleeping on park benches in Golden Gate Park to rescuing his instruments from a burning rehearsal building, the music of Benny Strange continues to be more than just a labor of love. According to this multi-instrumentalist, the process of writing, recording and performing is also his “cathartic outlet essential to both emotional and spiritual survival.”
Emma Burgess:
Born in a small town in northern Massachusetts, Emma Burgess grew up without much money or many friends, the latter thanks to the fact she moved around a lot as a kid. She did teach herself how to the play the guitar, however, and it was a guitar she brought with her on her drive across the country to Los Angeles, where she hoped to break into the entertainment world.
Slackstring:
SLACKSTRING is the perfect moniker for the band; laid back, groovy music providing the soundtrack for summer barbecues and the sport of sunset watching. Comprised of four guys born and raised adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in Manhattan Beach, CA, the sound of SLACKSTRING was crafted as much by the beach lifestyle as it was by local musical influences from classic bands like The Doors and The Beach Boys to neighborhood punk pioneers Pennywise and Descendents. Their sound has been described as Pure Feel-Good Music by L.A. newspaper The Daily Breeze, and a desert island CD by their legions of dedicated fans.
Trip Hizzle:
Greetings from New Jeruz borrows Hip Hop’s abrupt honesty, and his own spiritual dedication. It reflects every corner of New Jersey, its people, and patented mischief. His music spins a message of hope in the face of our dying cultural identity, and unites the movers and shakers under one melodic cause.
Brooke Miller:
Brooke Miller is 25, from Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and an accomplished guitarist and songwriter. Brooke plays custom-designed Michael Greenfield guitars, the same luthier for Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Don Alder, Charlie Hunter, and select others. Brooke is the proud recipient of the distinguished 2007 Songwriter of the Year award from the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals, which is part of the Ontario Arts Council.
Mackenzie 1st:
From the hostile, frozen wastelands of Montreal that brought you The Dears, Simple Plan, Bran Van 3000 and Men Without Hats comes the Canadian Rock quartet, (David Black, Dommy Berd, Justin Cohen and Simon Dunlavey) known as Mackenzie 1st. With their technical drum chops, powerful bass lines, in your face guitar riffs and catchy vocals; you will not forget their infectious sound.
Coconut Records:
Coconut Records is loved by everyone. Jason Schwartzman wrote, performed and played all the songs on this debut called “Nighttiming.” We’re sure you’ll like it.
