My identity
is not: what I feel, my goals, what I see, my education, fear, approval
of man, what I act or look like, am told by others or who my parents
are. It isn't mere: gender, false accusation, socio-economic status,
age, shame, stereotypes, guilt, cultural expectations, political
preference, or ethnicity. It isn't as shallow as the sins I've
committed. Reality is not what I feel.
It is based on the
resurrection life of Christ, salvation and life through grace, and the
indwelling of the Holy Spirit. I have been allured/adopted into
something much larger and more beautiful than my own humanity and must
rest in His trust and unconditional love.
He doesn't require that we "have it all together", He asks for (and supplies) our love and trust.
Terrify evil, claim your inheritance.
We are drowning in relentless grace, open your gills and swim.
