I'm a musiclover for more than a half century and I'm happy to have seen perform a lot of 'golden oldies' from the 60'/70's in my life. Cliff Richard was my 1st concert when I was 14. In 1964 (I was 16) The Rolling Stones in Scheveningen (their 1st time in Europe), the Beatles in 1965. I went to concerts and met Stevie Winwood, Roger Daltrey and the others of the Who, the Kinks, the Small Faces, the Easybeats, Ledd Zeppelin. The highlight back then in 1969 was MY FAVO band CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) when they performed in Amsterdam for the very 1st time with Peter Cetera and Terry Kath (rip). Oct. 1999. I have been married to one of best bassplayers in the 60's in Holland of one of the famous 'beatgroups'in Holland back then. They performed lots of times as 'supporting act' in the 60's when GREAT ARTISTS, like Ike & Tina Turner, The BEE GEE's, The Hollies, Led Zeppelin poweeformed in Holland or on TV. Being an artist back then gave us all the privileges to go backstage and talk to 'our heroes'. MY ALL TIME MUSIC HEROES are all the former (Peter Cetera, Terry Kath (rip) and more and present members of the band CHICAGO. I saw Chicago again 30 30 yr. later in 1999 in Amsterdam, with Jason Scheff on bass and vocals who replaced Peter Cetera and Keith Howland on lead/sologuitar and the charismatic and talented singer songwriter Bill Champlin on keyboards. Just an awesome experience to see and hear them LIVE again.
Again, now, 10 years later, I went to Paris, this summer of 2008, where CHICAGO performed an outstanding concert at le Casino de Paris, July 29, 2008.Too b ad Jimmy Pamkow and Walt Paradaizer weren't present then. But I'm sure I'll be seeing and meeting them again!
To bad my cam broke down that night so all I could shoot was with my cellphone, which sucked.
