Music-wise...
I am addicted to music but the majority of my favorite music isn't here; this has barely been updated in years ( not exaggeration) . . . and much of my music is not even on this site bc of copyright or just no sources.
I love a lot of foreign music since I like learning languages. I'm spanish born in US so my first languages were spanish and english but I love Russian and Japanese as well as many other languages...I'm open-minded.
Fav Bands on other side..
I'm open minded about music to an extent; I'm kind of picky but I can listen to music from almost any genre, and if I like the music itself sometimes I can ignore the lyrics even if they do suck and the musician is obviously an a$$.
Fav music is usually rock, usually punk or some kinds of hardcore where the screaming isn't obnoxious but is more powerful. Not a big fan of metal or repetitive power cords.
I can listen to music from different ages also. I can listen to some classical, some oldies, and some of the new stuff. I can usually tell about what time period a song came out, or what language.
I'm not familiar with all the mainstream because I usually don't like to much of the mainstream ( of this time period)
I love synths (Korg and EMI ~ <3) but I hate a lot of the new hip-hop music that sounds incredibly easy to make and is ultra repetitive.
I like progressive stuff and ska and music that sounds like it takes skill to make.
Also these days I get tired of listening to rock by white guys ( no I'm not racist or sexist xD) I've been looking for more girl bands ( not girl fronted, girls that play instruments) and more out of the norm.

Games
I'm also a fan of anime and former video-game player ( I don't really have time for either anymore since I'm in the University)
I used to own NES & still own N64, Gamecube, PS2, & more
& was a huge Dot Hack fan and Zelda fan but also played some FF games and Phantasy Star, Super Smash, & more S:

Every Hayao Miyazaki, Ergo Proxy, Last Exile, all .hack, Angel Beats, Sayounara Zetsubou Sensei, Code Geass, Toradora, Hellsing, Soul Eater, Cowboy Bebop, Haibane, Seto..something mermaid, Higurashi No..smthng, Fairy Tale, Lucky Star, Kino's Journey, Canaan, Spice and Wolf, Gurren Lagann, Bakuretsu Tenshi, Akira, Voice of Distant Star, Death Note, Sword of A Stranger, Tsubasa Reservoir, Vampire Knight ( hated it), Fushigi Yuugi, Nadesico, Mahou Shoujo Magika Madoka, Dragonball, pokemon 1st season, Elfen Lied, noir, Naruto, Kampfer, negima, Something about elves stripping, Jigoku Shoujo, FMA, My Hime, Mushishi, Tenshi Muyo, Haruhi, Ghost In the Shell, Gantz, Flcl, Wolf's rain, Pretty Face ( manga), The Girl who Leapt through time... prolly more...can't think of...
