People call me Lenka. I started playing music at the age of 6 with father who was a trumpet player. I moved to Sydney shortly after. Went to school, danced a bit, acted a bit then went to art college. In college I started to sing a bit more and joined a band called Decoder Ring. We created an album called Somersault, which was the soundtrack to a feature film called Somersault. In 2004 Rolling Stone called me as an “ethereal songstress” a “pocket rocket” and “breathy, strangely haunting.”
After that I came to Los Angeles and hid away in the studio until I emerged with new songs. The song “Follow” was heard on hit show Dirt starring Courtney Cox and "Don't Let Me Fall" appeared on the series premiere of 90210. I love song writing, singing, performing, collaborating and making people feel some pleasure.
My self-titled debut album is OUT NOW!
