How to Upload songs to share on playlist.com

You cannot upload music files to Playlist.com.

You can however input URLs linking to music files that you own the copyright for or legally have the rights to distribute; we do keep a large database of such song links.

To get a URL for a music file that you own the copyright in or legally have the rights to distribute, find a website that hosts or stores files. Once you have posted the file there, the file should be assigned a URL that you can then enter into the Playlist.com expanded search page located at:

Please note that if the link is not accepted, it could be due to one or more issues:

-- The URL you are using is not valid – it points to a web page and not the actual music file (the URL should end in .mp3)
-- The artist (or legal agent for the artist) has not authorized the music to be made freely available on the Internet
-- There is something blocking access to the hosting site
-- The file is too large
-- The file is a video file rather than an audio file, or the file format is not correct (file must be an .mp3 file)

Please also note that it is a violation of our Terms of Service to upload links to unauthorized files. If you are not sure whether you have the legal right to distribute a file or whether that file is authorized by the copyright owner, you should not upload a link to that file. Playlist.com should make it to where we can upload our own mp3s or files because this site does not have Ain't Nobody (Breakage Remix) by Clare Maguire. They have a version of it, but it's too quiet to even hear.

Well it seems like I figured out the system! Wasn't to complicated. A bit annoying at first but in the long run, it was much worth it to get my music added to yet another great site I have been using for a long time now!!!
Here are the steps to the exact T!


1.) Sign Up For Fileden.com (Skip all the crap when signing up)

2.) You can upload multiple tracks at the same time(If the URL does not work after doing multiple then go back and do 1 at a time. You have 1GB of free storage and 5GB of bandwidth.

3.) In Fileden.com after you upload, click on Files

4.) Right click on file and choose properties

5.) Then choose URL

6.) Copy that URL and go back to Playlist.com

7.) Scroll down to the bottom of Playlist.com and choose Add Song URL

8.) Paste the URL from Fileden.com to the space provided and click submit. Tracks may not be any larger than 8MB

9.) It may or may not allow you to rename the track on Playlist.com

10.) Click on Add to Playlist

11.)Then on the right hand side where your playlist is, choose the playlist you want to add your track to and press the symbol on the track that was upload on the left hand side!

12.) Enjoy your tunes!

I hope this helps anyone with any kind of frustrations. It took me a little bit to figure out. After I did it was much worth it. If you have any kind of software for music such as Garageband, Logic Pro, Etc....You can use them to change your format to .mp3 as well as compress the audio files to a smaller MB if it has exceeded 8MB.

Hey so is the 8 MB limit just for fileden, or is it for here too? Because I'm uploading to fileAve right now, just now clicked on the forums on here lol. Most of my songs are.. over 8 MB. lol
