My playlist now says : Due to licensing restrictions, some or all
tracks may be unavailable for playback in your country.
No songs will play for me at all but they were working last time I was on playlist.com .
What's happening?
(I live in England)

Right...so your complaing because a free service has fallen to supposed licensing restrictions, a FREE website, as i said on another thread, these guys have no obligation to help, or to provide this service but they do so anyway.
Do you guys know how uptight you sound, seriously, its as if the internet just got broken! It is not the end of the world, and people are working to fix the problem, i doubt your complaints are helping them any

This is really embarrassing... We just want to listen to our favorite music. All government fools should be happy that we don't download music illegal from the net but listen to them on this site -.-'

they've blanket restricted every song simply because there are too many songs to go through one by one, my guess is they were given a threat by the MIAA to cease the distribution of copyrighted music, so they panicked and cut everything off asap to avoid mass copyright infringement.

Heh Placebo are british and I can't listen to them on here >.> well sort of British anyway...
I believe I should be exluded from this since I already own all their CD's so I did my damn contribution to fandom.
has anyone notice mostly the UK gets this problem? you never hear of it happening in the US...? I swear the American's hate us Brits! lol

Oh just a little correction incase my bad wording offended anyone.
it was meant as a joke, and I also didn't mean the ordinary American citizens, I meant mostly the government.

Myspace, UTube and Facebook are all wideworld networks, and these are still advertising them to add the music box. Hmmmm
Internet was invented by a 'BRIT'

As Some people had said. I think because Michael Jackson died there some Issues with his songs. This i can understand, but, why the hell is it people only in the UK who are not allowed to listion to music. And if it is to do with Michael Jackson how come its all the songs and not just his Blocked.
Now my main Question is (which i beleave we are all asking!): When can us people Living in the UK allowed to listion to music on this website again! I beleave there is a law about freedom of speach and i am using it now! We want to listion to music for free! How come us Brits (scots welsh ect ect) Are not allowed to listion to ANY songs while people in the US can?!?!?!
I belave many people will agree with me on this.

If you read the link above it may clear your mind about Who to blame. It will not how ever tell you any infomation about when/if Project Playlist is coming back. Still the only thing i dont get. How come people in the UK are blocked from Listning when the Law and court stuff is going on in the US??????!!!!?!?! 0_0

I was f**cking pissed when it happened. one minute I was listning to one of my playlists, then when I flicked to a differant playlist, POOF!! all gone!
But I found a new site :3
www.goear.com
The only thing I don't like about goear is that you cant edit your playlist once you've created them, but you can upload your own music and still make multible playlists so its been better then nothing.

So are you saying that, pretty much, nothing is going to change, and everyone who doesn't live in the US should find another music playlist site to use? simple question. tell me, how many people have canceled their account since you've discriminated?

Hello Playlisters, We've just received word that we're up for an award! And it's a biggie, too... Project Playlist has been nominated as the web's best audio and music site in the 2009 Webware 100 Awards. This is truly an honor for us and absolutely the result of all of the hard work you have put into creating and spreading your favorite playlists. So thank you!
FUCK THAT! u don't deserve it.

Ummm has anyone ever thought that it may be British laws that are causing the problem for British based folks (this includes me). We see it on the TV all the time over here how the government in the UK & Europe is working on 'beating the pirates' yada yada....
I think saying its a US problem is being a little bit child like....come on folks they don't rule the world so lay off. LOL
