Licensing Issues?

I have songs from well-known artists, songs from totally unknown Japanese groups, even NON-PROFIT remixes from fans. It isn't licensing. Heck, I have Vocaloid songs on there.

This absolutely sucks, just come on to play my daily playlist and it's blocked, screw proxys im going over to spotify!

At least i was able to save my precious playlist-datas (containing all the original URLs) into .ASX-Files b4 they might dissapear completely. And i would recommend to everybody else who had spent a lot of hours to build up her/his playlist(s) to do so too, if you should want to build up similar ones on an other free music-portal (if playlist.com might "deceased" one time...)!

There is no way I am going to switch a proxy server on and off to allow me to play my music, which will them conflict with most MMORPGs and not allow them to run simultaneously!

Thanks for the tip but the customers finding loopholes isn't a solution to this, PP needs to sort out licensing issues PDQ!!

I'm seriously pissed off, I worked on making a good few long playlists for myself to enjoy listening to everyday. I'm in the UK...so what the fuck?

A request to the mods out there...

I realise that you've been given a set response to give us, but could you at the very least, either tell us what sort of legal licensing stuff is going on, or, preferrably, just tell us when you're expecting services to be running again.

If you don't feel confident to explain yourselves, could you possibly post a link to something relatively useful, following the example of Pulsecode.

How can every song, even the ones by european artists be blocked due to licensing restrictions?

I think it's a blanket block of all songs, until they work out what they're allowed to stream.

Bloody stupid always had music playing on my blog..now nothing! Licencing problems as everyone else - to the Moderators of this site it would be good to let people know if you expect us to ever get our music back!!! Courtesy and all that us British like that.

So why are my controls disabled? can't even listen to tunes by british and other NON US artists.
And what about classical music...? who owns rights to Beethoven Handel and Vivaldi etc? Nobody, that's who!
Sort it out or i'll find another pop-out player to post on my sites.

Ok. This is absoloute bull....
Videos work with music, yet the songs dont. Absoloutely crap. They apparantley arent in some liscensing problem, or we'd be unable to listen to the videos. This is just rubbish, all of my playlists are completely greyed out

I hope you can change this problem into a solution for every country wanting to play the playlists.

The problem doesn`t exists if you use the creating for a new video playlist. May be another solution.

i have 3 playlists pretty much full and none of the songs work.
i'm in scotland, why the vaj cant i listen to music because i'm in a certain part of the world?
it should matter where you are.
this is so stupid.
