All SONY BMG music now on Playlist… and an update on how we work with social networking sites.

As we continue to enhance our service we want to use this blog to sustain an ongoing conversation with all of you, solicit your feedback and address any questions you might have. To start today, we have good news to share, and an update on news that is not quite so good.
At Playlist, we are creating an entirely new music experience for our users, and as such, we have been talking with artists, publishers and labels in an effort to work with them and make their full music catalogs available on Playlist.
So, GOOD NEWS: we are excited to tell you about a new agreement with Sony BMG! We are going to make Sony BMG’s entire catalog -- including popular artists like Beyonce, Britney Spears, Bow Wow and iCarly (see the press release) -- available to be part of your playlists. We want to provide the best music quality and experience that we can. We expect to have more updates for you soon.
With the improvements to our site last week, our new search tool means that it’s even easier and faster to find more of the music you love and build playlists while you listen. We’re adding new social features to help you find friends more easily and build friendships on our site. And with our new player, you can drag and drop songs to change your playlist or just hit shuffle to mix it up. You can also access any of your playlists directly from the player itself.
On another front, you may have noticed that some social networks have begun blocking your playlists from loading on their site. We are working hard to get our widgets back up on user profiles across these social networking sites as quickly as possible so our users can continue to share music with their friends. Until then, your playlists are not lost and you can still share them – they remain available here on Playlist.com, where you can continue to search for music, create and play new playlists.

Damn I hope you guys start paying the PRS; about bloody time in my opinion. The PRS are not evil, although their prices are a little extortionate. All the immature people saying MySpace suck; they don't. They are simply annoyed that Playlist pay nothing to artists and make a fair profit from doing so.

I know that your doing everything you guys can do as far as myspace and facebook goes.
This site is by far the best place to find music, and I wanted to thank you all for the past 2 1/2 years that I have been a member and I always will be!

I had no problem initially creating the play list My problem is when I place it on my page the play list shows up as empty. Is there a certain place where I can retrieve my play list from. Maybe my page is only compatible with certain places of where I get the music from. I don't know, wish I did, then I could fix it. With so many intelligent people offering theri comments it is bound to have an epiphany.
